So, here at CPC Training head office we have decided to keep you HGV Drivers up to date with all the new EU rules & regulations regarding CPC training which could affect you in your day to day job as an HGV driver.
This weeks subject is…
Who needs what?
Well, there are 2 types of CPC Training – you may know this already, but seen as this is week 1 of the captain’s blog, we will start from the very beginning…
A long long time ago, in a far, far away galaxy…. Only joking!
CPC Training came into play in September 2009 for us truckers, for bus & coach drivers, it came into play the previous year, September 2008.
So! You either need to do an Initial Drivers CPC or 35 hours Periodic CPC Training Not both straight away!
The best way to find out which you need is grab your driving license and see the date of when you passed your car test…. If you were lucky enough to pass prior to January 1997, you can skip the Initial Drivers CPC and go straight into The 35 hours Periodic CPC Training – this course can be taken anywhere in the UK in anyone of our 45 Drivers CPC approved locations.
Different subjects which you may learn about are as follows;
Drivers Hours, EU Rules & Regs, Fuel Efficiency etc. among others!
A lot of experienced drivers believe Periodic CPC Training could be a waste of their time, but here at CPC Training.com we don’t! we believe having HGV Drivers on the road who are continuously learning and bettering them selves make for safer roads in the UK. I know if my family were driving down the M25 I would want to know all the HGV drivers were up to date with all the rules & regs that they could be, wouldn’t you?
Also it’s a great opportunity to meet other drivers in the industry as a typical classroom holds 20 HGV drivers who are all at different levels from beginners to experienced HGV drivers that can help with knowledge and career opportunities.
So that’s it from me for now please feel free to get in contact CPCtraining.com
For any more information and prices and locations
May the force be with you !!!!!
